The ONE THING for June 19, 2012: A Call for Men (and Women) to Pray – 2/28 Days of Developing a Prayer Life

  • 2 Timothy 1:9 … who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began

Brothers, “being ordained” is not about a title or a position.  Being ordained means that God has put something in your hands; it means that God has entrusted you with something that belongs to Him of which He values.

The things in your hands are can be categorized in three ways:

  • Relationships
  • Responsibilities
  • Resources (Assets)

Remember, as an ordained man, you are no longer your own man; you belong to God, you are under command, and you are commissioned.

In other words, you are a “King’s man.”  Be noble, be faithful, be a man of prayer.

  •  “What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him.  What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him.” _Victor Frankl
