- FOURTH: God’s Call on my life – God has called and gifted me to be a communicator – especially through preaching, teaching and writing; this gives me the confidence of knowing that God will reveal his will and truth to me as it relates to his vision for my life and those that I serve. Further, this gives me the assurance that the anointing on my life will enable me to communicate that vision to the people in such a way that they will be able to understand and thus be able to step into the better future that God has for them.
Just as we are all leaders in some way, we are also communicators. You are communicating something to everyone you meet – your words, posture, facial expression…even your silence is communicating volumes. Your primary “pulpit” may not be in a church, but trust me you have a pulpit (influence). And how you use your pulpit is a matter of life and death, creation or destruction, and even destiny or damnation.
It is vital that you take your responsibilities to be a wise communicator seriously. You cannot escape this responsibility (it is one of the key ways that you are made in the image of God) and to be at your best it will require God’s guidance and help and also intentionally.
Bottom line, communicate with a purpose, communicate to bring life and progress and communicate to bring glory to God. Figuring out how to do that with the “pulpit” God has given you is one of the key missions you all have in life.
