I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present yourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. (Romans 12:1)
120518 (Friday): Great and gracious God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit – I worship you and honor you this day. I thank you for your many mercies upon our lives and I pray for the strength and wisdom needed that we may present ourselves both to you and to the world as “living sacrifices” (Romans 12:1). I pray that our lives – both in word and deed – will please you and that we will inspire those with whom we interact with today. Help us to be “light” and “salt” in the world today.
- I pray that you will give my family and church family Sabbath rest sometime over the next couple days. I know the concept of “Sabbath” is so foreign to our mind and culture, but please teach us to rest and be restored and renewed in you.
- I pray for the Women’s Ministry JOY Conference this weekend. I pray that Joyce Lang and her team will be strengthened and anointed. I lift up Rhonda Holland to you praying that you give her traveling mercy and just the right message that we need to hear.
- Finally, I close my prayer as I began – with worship and thanksgiving. I am still amazed that you love us and care for us. I am at peace no matter what happens this day for I know that you are our loving and sovereign God – all things will work together for our good.
- I pray these things on behalf of myself, my family and my church family – all dearly loved, in Jesus’ name, amen and thank you.
