Ascribe to the Lord the honor due his Name; bring offerings and come into his courts. (Psalm 50:14)
120516 (Wednesday): Father God, I greet you this day! I pray for the strength and humility to realize that it is in you that we live and move and have our being. I pray that your Holy Spirit will remind us moment by moment to ascribe (assign, credit, attribute) to YOU the honor that is due your Name. Help us to not become so self-focused that we forget that it is only due to your mercy and grace that we are able to achieve anything. Remind us through this day that it is only because of your kindness and sovereign care that we experience the many mercies and provisions that come our way. Remind us to publicly and frequently give you the credit for every good thing that happens to us and through us this day.
- Furthermore, on this Wednesday, call our attention toward your House. Let us bring offerings and come into your courts with praise. Give us a heart to serve, worship and learn.
- Finally, I pray for your mercy and care over our lives this day. Protect us, keep us from sin, forgive us when we do fail and finally bring us home safely to a home of peace.
- I ask these things for my dearly loved family, church family and for all those that call upon your Name; and may people everywhere come to know you and honor you as we do. I ask these things in the dear name of Jesus – our Lord and Savior, amen and thank you.
