You can’t arrest them, but at least ignore them…

During the Boer War (1899-1902), a man was convicted of a very unusual crime: being a “discourager.”

The South African town of Ladysmith had been under attack, and this traitor had moved up and down the lines of soldiers who were defending the city and did everything he could to discourage them.  He pointed out the enemy’s strength, the difficulty of defending against them, and the inevitable capture of the city.  He hadn’t used a gun in his attack.  It hadn’t been necessary.  His weapon had been the power of discouragement.

It’s going to be a little hard getting the discouragers in your life arrested, but at least ignore them today.  If someone brings up something that is bigger than God and greater than his grace and mercy then listen, otherwise ignore them.

Look up; you’re going to make it!
