Daily 40-days Devotional Guide

Good morning my fellow “40-dayers” (new word there :))

Those of you that were at the prayer service last night will have a head start on today’s guide.  But either way, if you will follow the guide you will have a blessed day.

Remember, life at its best in this life is but a pale and faint reflection of how life will be for the Christian in eternity.  So hold on to the blessings of this life lightly – they are only temporary samples to whet your appetite for the joys to come; and don’t take the problems and pains to seriously, they are just birth pangs that are required to get you in position for entering into the joys of the Lord…FOREVER!

Bottom line, don’t live life looking over your shoulder at a disappointing or “less than” past.  Live your life looking forward to the day when the long night of travail for this weary cosmos will fade into the dawn of a New Creation!

Be there!

Friday: REST! (No service tonight)

  • Read and reflect on Revelations 21 & 22 – Take the time throughout the day to define what “success” for you will look like on your last day on earth and your first day of experiencing eternal life.  I suspect it will put all of life’s trials and disappointments in perspective.  Bless you and have a great day today – see you tomorrow at our fifth communion service.
