My dearly loved PEPpers and far flung family and friends,
Greetings!
I pray that this missive finds all well with you. I am reminded of the words of author Joseph Jaworski in his book, Synchronicity: The Inner Path of Leadership:
- “I had always thought we used language to describe the world. Now I was seeing that was not the case. To the contrary, it is through language that we create the world, because it’s nothing until we describe it. And when we describe it, we create distinctions that govern our actions. To put it another way, we do not describe the world we see, we see the world we describe.”
I imagine that you are like me, there have been a lot of different events and happenings that have occurred in my life since I last wrote you. The determining factor as to whether or not they have been good lies within us. It is all according to how we describe them. I pray that you will see all that has happened to you over the last seven days as having first come through the loving hands of your Father God. Therefore, you can choose to see and describe them in a good light.
But now let’s look to the future…

RESOURCE OF THE WEEK: The Medicine, by John Mark McMillan
- This was a new artist and CD that listened to this week. For those of you that enjoy a wide variety of music, try this on for size. I still haven’t decided if McMillan is an artist I will follow. Let me know what you think.
AFFIRMATIONS OF THE WEEK: Health issues…
- Through Jesus Christ and by His stripes…I am walking in health and strength. (Proverbs 3:7-8, Isaiah 53:5)
- My body is strong and pain free because of the mercy of God and my commitment to be a good steward of the wonderfully made body that He has given me through exercise and proper diet.
- I shall live enthusiastically the life God has given me and do everything within my power to not die prematurely.
- I am disciplined in my exercise routine and it is a priority in my life that will bring me great dividends.
- Never will I overindulge the requests of my flesh; rather I will cherish my body with cleanliness and moderation. In other words, I will live a balanced (temperate) life.
- One thing that I can and must control is what I eat; therefore I shall be responsible for what I eat in order to maximize my health and productivity.
- I will love myself, for when I do I will zealously inspect all things that enter my body, my mind and my soul.
LIFE IN “KEMPSVILLE”:
As far as life in Kempsville, it has been a good but busy week. Monday and Tuesday was all about our annual Pastor’s Conference. It went very well. Wednesday I was privileged to speak at the INSP chapel service. This is twice now and I have nothing but good to say concerning how Reverend David Cerullo and his outstanding team treated me. I have so many members working there that it feels a little like FMCOG. I’ve got to believe that one of the major reasons there is such a sweet spirit there has to do with those many PEPpers!
Friday night I was privileged to speak at Pastor Jonathan’s annual Fine Arts conference at the White Oak Conference center. The session started at 8:15 p.m. and I didn’t start until around 8:45 p.m.! That’s a little late for me…but I enjoyed myself tremendously spending time with our World Class Fine Arts’ team.
This morning it was pack up and head home, hating to leave Sonja behind at White Oak, but looking forward to spending a day in working for the Christ and Church I love so much.

I did find time throughout the week to spend very precious time with DLK 3.0. We had some very fun times. With my very busy schedule, I treasure every second I have him. One day we had a little fun in the yard…playing in the sprinkler! Mom was a real good sport, matter of fact I think she was a little jealous and would have liked to have jumped in to the fun!
So life goes on…blessings to you all,
