100705: Affirmations to Live By – “How I Will Face Each Day” (#7)

Good evening/morning!

It’s hard to believe that it has been over a week since my last entry!  I usually write my blog in the evening and I’ve had a lot of late nights lately / but this evening I just wanted to leave a brief word to say hello and send my prayers and best wishes.

FIRST: How I will face each day: I will live a life of thanksgiving by remembering and enumerating the many blessings from God upon my life.

SECOND: How I will face each day: I will remember that the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habitsGood habits are the key to all success.  Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.  Therefore, I will form good habits and become their slave.

THIRD: How I will face each day: Today I will act on those things that are most important (Mission critical).  I shall not get bogged down with triviality or things that others can do at least adequately.

FOURTH: How I will face each day: Today, I will act and I will act NOW.  A map has never taken me anywhere, a detailed calendar has never accomplished anything for me – action was required.

FIFTH: How I will face each day: I will not allow my mind to be attracted to evil and despair; rather I will uplift it with the knowledge and wisdom of God.

SIXTH: How I will face each day: I will remember that I will accomplish what I truly desire, therefore, throughout each day I must be extremely careful what I desire!

SEVENTH: How I will face each day: I will focus on making TODAY a masterpiece for my Master.

  •  The big picture is often a little overwhelming.  Trying to find a solution for world hunger is beyond most of us.  Helping all the hurting and dying people in the world is a burden that most cannot get their arms around.  Developing a Master Plan for our lives can get complicated.  Matter of fact, trying to figure out what we’re going to do tomorrow can sometimes be iffy, but one thing we can do is give our best today.
  •
  • Let’s focus on that today.  In the war or peace, in rain or shine, whether things are going good bad, one thing we can do – do our best.  Do our best where we are with what we have been given and with whom we be put with.  Give our best…for Him (Colossians 3:17)
  •
  • String a few of those kind of days together and before you know it you are living a masterpiece!

Let me leave this thought with you, yesterday David Lee was not feeling well so Sonja  and I stopped by Lee and Jennifer’s to see him a moment.  I held him for a few moments and as a child will do, he slobbered a bit on my sleeve and left a stain.  However, it didn’t bother me a bit – why?  Because I loved the one that left the stain.  It seemed I heard Jesus reminding me that that is how He feels about us.  Lord knows, I’ve left a lot of stains and sorrows along the way but God has never given up on me – why?  Because He loves the one that left the stain.

Do you really think a stain is going to come between a papa's love and this little lad?

It is so easy to get distracted by the stains and forget the one that loves; don’t do that today – end your day or start it (whichever is the case) with the One that loves.  Stains, sorrows, and sins don’t bother Him…He loves you too much to allow that to stop him; and anyway He found a way to take care of the stains / it’s called Calvary.

Blessings and kindest thoughts toward you,

dlkemp

  1. Wonderful words to live by. Good to hear from you again. Hope little David Lee is feeling better. Love that picture of him. He is so precious. Have a blessed day tomorrow and please say a prayer for our granddaughter Nicole. She seems to be involved with the wrong crowd but she doesn’t see it. Thank you Pastor and God bless you and your family….Love Ann & Joe (Your Romans)
