Good evening (morning) to all my PEPpers and other far flung family and friends,
It sure is nice to be sitting at my desk at a reasonable hour to write the daily blog. It’s been a good day through sadden with the funeral service of Mark Carlyle. It was a beautiful memorial service apt for a special man and family.
The highlight of the day for me was seeing David Lee. This has been the longest I have not seen him (almost two weeks). We had a wonderful afternoon.
Tomorrow is a very special day in Kempsville / we will be celebrating David Lee’s first birthday. It’s hard to believe that a year has gone by since he first br

ought such joy to my life. But anyway, as a result, my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew and one of his cousins are staying with us this evening / so you, as you can imagine, it has been an interesting evening.
We enjoyed dinner tonight at Captain Steve’s / I did eat a shrimp salad (trying to eat healthily) but all that good fried fish was sure tempting.
Now I’m back home and hoping to go to bed at a more reasonable hour for a change. But before doing that let me give you number 6 of my affirmations to live by…
FIRST: How I will face each day: I will live a life of thanksgiving by remembering and enumerating the many blessings from God upon my life.
SECOND: How I will face each day: I will remember that the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits. Good habits are the key to all success. Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure. Therefore, I will form good habits and become their slave.
THIRD: How I will face each day: Today I will act on those things that are most important (Mission critical). I shall not get bogged down with triviality or things that others can do at least adequately.
FOURTH: How I will face each day: Today, I will act and I will act NOW. A map has never taken me anywhere, a detailed calendar has never accomplished anything for me – action was required.
FIFTH: How I will face each day: I will not allow my mind to be attracted to evil and despair; rather I will uplift it with the knowledge and wisdom of God.
SIXTH: How I will face each day: I will remember that I will accomplish what I truly desire, therefore, throughout each day I must be extremely careful what I desire!
- One of my other affirmations is – “I shall guard my heart diligently.” The motivation behind that statement matches this affirmation. Truly we must guard our heart for from it comes our desires and from them comes our motivation.
- That is why it is vitally important to start our day with prayer and bible reading; these habits keep us in touch with God and his desires and that is what we must desire above all!
Well, there you have it, another day in the crazy of world of Kempville.
Blessings and peace to you,
david l. kemp
