How I will face each day: I will live a life of thanksgiving by remembering and enumerating the many blessings from God upon my life.

A life of gratitude is absolutely essential for staying balanced and sane. It is the antidote for just about every sinful vice such as: pride, greed, selfishness, pity, etc.
One of the systems that keeps me on track with this affirmation is my prayer journal and the daily devotional that I prepare for each day. I make sure that I list at least one or two things that I am thankful for. The good thing about my journal is that I review it a year later and it is amazing how the things that were bothering me on a given day are of very little consequence a year later; but the things I was thankful for are still precious to me a year later.
I encourage you to considering adding this affirmation to your regular reminder list. If you are anything like me it will keep you on the path of humility and happiness.
As far as this day in “Kempville” …
- Lee, Jennifer and the Lad are out of town tonight
- Briana got a new phone (you’d almost think that it was Christmas!)
- Sonja brought a beautiful dress at good will (why pay full price?)
- And she and I and our grand dog (Chase) and the old gentleman of the house, our dog Frodo went hiking at Andrew Jackson State Park. The park has two trails and we walked them both / a beautiful Sabbath evening.
On a bitter/sweet note, our brother Victor Bell exited this world to return to his Abba Father today. We rejoice for him and offer our deepest condolences and prayers to his family and to all that loved him.
I bid you good evening (or morning), whichever the case / with kindest regards and a grateful heart,
