100419: Where did the last two days go?

      Hello everyone, sorry about no entry last night; my only excuse is that Sunday was a longggg day and by the time I arrived back home I had enough strength to either sit in my easy (lazy) chair and eat a little ice cream or sit in my chair in my study and write an entry for my blog \ it was a real hard choice (if you believe that I’ve got some swamp land…) / but I did think of you…

      Today has been pretty much a blur also.  I went through my normal Monday paces and rushed home for a wonderful meal tonight with the family.  Sonja had prepared her world-famous (I’m hoping somebody will read this in Canada or something) chicken salad (if it’s not world-famous it ought to be) and she also prepared a new mac & cheese recipe / a home run!  Soon to be world-famous (hopefully Gina Helms in Tanzania will read this and then it will be world-famous!) / And then it was off to Nation Ford High School to attend the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce (Fort Mill) Award Banquet.  I did so to see David Ward, Jr. be awarded the prestigious Citizen of the Year for 2010!  (Way to go David!  I’m very proud of you and proud to be your pastor.)  Teresa (his wife / for those of you in Canada still wishing you had some of Sonja’s world-famous chicken salad and mac & cheese) and I both agreed that David’s success is due to a having a great wife and a great pastor and a whole lotta luck!

     Also, I was happy to learn that another one of our good members was an award winner: Dawn Fite, Support Staff Employee of the Year.  Way to go Dawn!  I’m proud of you!!!

      Well that about does it for today except to say that I bet when God create you He took the rest of the day off to just admire his wonderful creation.  That’s true (or something very close).
