100405: Hello from Cleveland, TN

It’s been a longgg day…my day started in good ole Fort Mill but is winding down here in Cleveland, Tennessee.  I am here to be with Sonja who has a Women’s Ministry Board meeting.  She is one of the very few pastor’s wives to have ever served on the Board.  It is usually filled with State Overseer’s wives; so we can all be proud of her.  Though with back-to-back trips to Cleveland over the last two weeks, Sonja and I are having a few doubts about this great honor J!

The trip was not that bad really … just long.  With the rock slide blocking the main route we had to take a detour which adds an hour to the trip but we did make it (there’s probably a sermon in there somewhere, but I’m too tired to catch it!).  We stopped in Ashville and enjoyed dinner at a German restaurant (Black Forest Restaurant, 2155 Hendersonville Road).  It was very good and reminded us of Markus our dear friend from Germany (we also drew his Christmas card today and remembered him in prayer \ how neat is that?  I don’t believe those sorts of things happen by chance.)

We finally arrived around 9:30 p.m. but then had to go shopping.  Between the two of us, Sonja and I left all her toiletries and so had to go buy everything to replace her toiletry bag before the store closed at 10:00 p.m.  Wow!  That was some fast shopping.  Then we checked in, unpacked and it’s now after 11:00 p.m.  We’re ready to sign off and “hit the sack.”

Keep us in your prayers tomorrow.  Sonja will be in her board meeting all day and I brought plenty of work and plan to work out of our motel room all day.

We love you all and will remember you in our prayers this evening.

God’s B-E-S-T to you,

dlkemp
